Kaqchikel from the Ground Up a practical grammar

Appendix B: The lexicon

Every Kaqchikel word this book uses, with its part of speech, its gloss, an attested plural or possessed form or imperative where one is recorded, and a recording where the Kaqchikel Talking Dictionary has one. It is the same lexicon that powers the hover glosses and the search box, so it cannot drift from the chapters: a word added to a chapter's vocabulary table appears here at the next build, tagged with the chapter that teaches it.

Two ways in. The thematic groups gather words by domain for browsing. The alphabetical table underneath has a filter box for looking a word up. Verbs are cited as bare stems with a hyphen; the conjugation button beside a verb or a possessed noun opens its full table.

Abbreviations: n noun, n-poss noun that must be possessed, adj adjective, vi intransitive verb, vt transitive verb, vtd derived transitive verb, adv adverb, num numeral, part particle, pron pronoun, rn relational noun, conj connector, interj interjection, phr phrase, pos positional.

The lexicon renders when this page is opened.
